PvP Guide:
Written by: Ununoctium
Okay this has been a long time coming. This guide is not for the pro PvP unless you want to go through and help provide constructive feedback
Before Reading:
Be sure to go over your character's skills: here
Emphasis will be on Elesis because that's my main character
Elesis: (1st job)
The key to using elesis is it's mobility. Learn to use Shadow Step first (Dash + Up + Dash + Down repeated.)
Then, learn how to use Shadow Step offensively. Strike fast and see if you can get a grab in. Air Spiral is not that great of a skill because the opponent falls down before you can even get any good damage in. Use Mega Strike instead followed with a Sonic Wave right before the Mega Slash comes down. Unless of course you want to spend $0.70 buying 500 Storm Blades
To do Double Grab with Elesis, toss the opponent off the ledge then push down and dash and grab again.
Elesis: (2nd job)
Dash + z will swing the spear in a semi-circle for maximum range. Spear is not that great on regular maps as it lacks mobility. However, on maps where mobility isn't that great (Gorge of Oath for example), spear can be very useful. With its long range, spear has enhanced grabbing abilities. In addition, its Dragon Strike is great in survival!
Sweep: In Gorge of Oath when you and your opponent are on two different islands and you guys are trying to jump attack each other, it is possible to turn mid jump before pressing z doing a "sweep" which may knock your opponent to death.
Otto: Not too useful in PvP now that the falldown has been implemented but use down + z.
Elesis: (3rd job)
I never use it. The big sword attacks way too slowly. Shadow Step is still possible though, so if you really want to use it, try the same technique as with 1st job.
Ronan: (1st job)
The strategy I found to be quite useful with this character is "spamming." Use bolt to stun the opponent then grab. I also prefer using Holy Bless instead of Rune Spiral and I don't find Kanavan Strike useful against experienced PvP players because it can be extremely easy to dodged.
Ronan: (2nd job)
The winner strategy is in the 1 bar mp skills and jump + down + z. Not very pro at all but this isn't a guide for pros anyway
Holy Inferno when your HP is low for faster recovery and Infinity Sword. IMO, Infinity Sword is the best 1 bar mp skill that doesn't require cash. You can mess around with the Dragon if you want but it's not really hard to evade. The grab is also quite easy to perform.
Ronan: (3rd job)
This is like a tank. Easy to camp with: just keep spamming up + z and blocks. Divine Slash is a good skill to use when you need to catch your breath and Furious Rush is a killer. Both 3 bar mp skills have very high damage and the Golem is good to use against campers. Grabs are fairly easy to do, just not as easy as 2nd job. Ronan tends to lose speed as it progresses through its jobs and it just so happens that 3rd job is pretty slow
Lass: (1st job)
GRAB! That's your main attack. Grab is so EASY to perform as lass it's not even funny. Emo attack is also pretty fun to do. Just use that and a pet attack and 50% of the time, it's a guaranteed kill. Final Strike is good to use in Survival when there is a huge fight going on in the middle. I like to use a grab, jump + jump + down + z, and then grab again. Against noobs, I can use that over and over again till they are dead
Double jump and continuous dash are possible but no Air Dash.
Ryan: (1st job)
Up + z or Up + Down + z will be your winner strategy. Ryan is pretty good with its long range and is a great team player with Resurrection. Its grabs, though easy to do, are pretty weak though. Other than that, I find Ryan to be pretty boring with its Twin Blade and Titan Axe
Not much mobility at all (cannot continously dash or air dash.)
Arme: (1st job)
There are several strategies for this and since this is a beginning guide as well, I will include the easiest one.
SPAM FIRE BOLT! Yes, just keep using firebolt until your MP is charged up. Then Meteor and blow the noobs away. A few Stone Curse here and there too! Guaranteed win against noobs
OR
You can use fire bolt sparingly and focus more on Earth Wave. Earth Wave delays your foes enough so that you can throw them. Using the shield move also sets a delay for a grab. Don't really bother with Meteor because experienced players will be able to dodged meteor with ease. Focus more on Stone Curse, Shield, and Lightning.
I'll add the other characters and jobs later when I get more experience with them. If anyone cares to write one for them, post it and I'll edit it into the main post and give you credit. Hope this helps!
